  • Process donations and issue tax receipts.

  • Communicate with donors about their contributions, events, and opportunities to support our work.

  • Maintain accurate donor records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Personnel Information

To effectively manage our team, we collect, use, and (in some instances) disclose personal information about our employees, volunteers, and contractors. We collect only the personal information necessary to:

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard personnel.

  • Administer payroll, benefits, reimbursements, and schedules.

  • Ensure a safe and effective work environment.

  • Meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations under applicable Canadian and Quebec laws.

How do we safeguard personal information? 

We may transfer personal information to service providers where information processing is outsourced by us in the course of our administrative procedures. Be advised that in certain circumstances we are required by law to disclose certain personal information to third parties.

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that personal information is accurate and complete. We rely on individuals to notify us if there is a change to their personal information that may affect their relationship with our organization. We request that individuals notify us if an error in personal information is identified, and we will correct it on request wherever possible.

We protect personal information in a manner appropriate for the sensitivity of the information. We make every reasonable effort to prevent any loss, misuse, disclosure or modification of personal information, as well as any unauthorized access to personal information. 

We use appropriate security measures when destroying personal information, including shredding paper records and permanently deleting electronic records using the appropriate sanitation methods depending on the kind of electronic devices used and the sensitivity of the personal information to be destroyed.

As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or receive from us electronically.
